For Sherman's Showcase, AMC's send up of the televised music and dance shows of the 70s and 80s, I created various era specific intros, akin to the famous dancing steam engine intro from Soul Train. These featured a mascot named The Funk Monster, who was sent to Earth by a mysterious alien Funk musician for purposes largely unknown, but presumably to get down.

I designed the Funk Monster and the musician, as well as all of the intros - which I also boarded, animated, and colored.
